Formal Parent and Sibling Orientation programs are offered during most summer Bama Bound sessions. We warmly welcome parents and siblings who wish to accompany students to their session. Many of the activities incorporated in Parent and Sibling Orientation integrate family members into some of the same workshops as Bama Bound students.
We discourage parent participation in Avanti Orientation Leader meetings and academic advising sessions, to allow each student the opportunity to establish an independent rapport with his or her Avanti Orientation Leader and departmental academic advisor.

Your interests may have changed since you completed the application for admission. If you would like to change your major, you may declare a new major by logging into myBama, clicking the Admissions/Scholarship tab, and click Change My Application Major in the Undergraduate Admissions pane. At Bama Bound, you will enjoy advising services from the faculty and staff advisors in the specific college of your major.
The major difference between early Bama Bounds and sessions scheduled later in summer is the date of the event. Each orientation session type follows the same schedule design. Additional sections of courses are made available for all Bama Bound sessions so that students may enjoy equitable class selection opportunities.
